Bhutan In Every Sense: A Well-Being Experience
Discover Bhutan beyond its landscapes through stories of innovation, purpose and well-being. Join us for a restorative morning inspired by Bhutan's philosophy of Gross National Happiness.
Florence (Druk Asia) will share share two remarkable stories from Bhutan—the ingenious postage stamps that helped fund the country's early development & the journey of Mountain Hazelnuts, a social enterprise transforming rural communities through sustainable agriculture. These stories reveal Bhutan's spirit of creativity, resilience, and commitment to collective well-being.
Building on these themes, York (Mindfulnests) will guide a tasting experience based on Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) principles, featuring Bhutanese hazelnuts, aromatic spices and artisanal tea from Dia Natural Shop.
The morning concludes with a sound bath led by Yvonne (Dia Natural Shop). Blending storytelling, mindfulness, food, tea, and sound, this programme offers a unique way to experience Bhutan's values while exploring simple practices that cultivate appreciation and well-being in everyday life.

Introduction to Mindfulness & Chinese Metaphysics
Slow Down & Reconnect
This introductory workshop is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with presence and clarity. Designed for those seeking greater self-understanding and calm amidst the pace of daily life, the session offers a gentle introduction to mindfulness and Chinese metaphysics as complementary paths of insight and alignment.
Cultivating Inner Calm with Mindfulness
Participants will be introduced to what mindfulness is and how simple, accessible mindfulness practices can support everyday well-being.
Benefits of mindfulness:
-
Stress management - ease symptoms of anxiety and low spirits through gentle presence
-
Improved focus - anchoring the mind in the 'now'
-
Better sleep - quiet the mind for a more restful night
Finding Clarity through Chinese Metaphysics
The workshop also introduces the Foundations of BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), a classical Chinese Metaphysical system that offers a basic understanding of how the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and the principles of Yin and Yang, mirror patterns found in nature and life cycles.
BaZi allows you to see the energetic blueprint of your life. Make choices with your natural tendencies and current life cycles instead of going against the grain.
A Personal Gift for Your Journey
For participants who are open to sharing your birth details (year, month, date & hour), you will receive a complimentary BaZi reading.
Participants will gain practical tools for daily calm and clarity that may be deepened during Bhutan: Journey of Curiosity and Purpose. Discover how Bhutan's Gross National Happiness philosophy and Bhutanese astrology may mirror or differ in their ideas of living well.
Mindfulness Made Simple
