Bhutan: A Journey of Curiosity & Purpose

Mindfulnests, in collaboration with SoulTrips, has curated this journey to integrate cultural immersion, mindful experiences, and nature-led healing. From meditative walks through Himalayan valleys to encounters with vibrant local traditions, every activity is intentional—inviting curiosity, reflection, and a more conscious way of experiencing the world.

Cultural Heritage & Living History

Discover Bhutan’s living history through visits to the National Museum, Ogyen Choling Heritage House, and the Royal Heritage Museum. Dive deeper into understanding the Bhutanese way of life through hands-on experiences, such as a tea appreciation session and a natural dyeing workshop.

Mindfulness & Wellbeing

Moments of stillness are woven throughout the journey. These pauses encourage rest, introspection, and a deeper connection to Bhutan’s philosophy of balance and wellbeing.

 

In Bhutan, healing is a way of life, seamlessly woven into culture, community, and the sacred landscapes that surround you. Guided by the principles of Gross National Happiness, the country places well-being, compassion, and harmony above material pursuits.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

MBSR is an evidence-based programme developed in 1979 by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. Created to support patients coping with chronic pain and illness, MBSR is practised all over the world and in Singapore to help people from all walks of life manage stress and enhance well-being. Grounded in mindfulness meditation, gentle movement, and self-inquiry, the programme offers practical tools to cultivate greater awareness and resilience.

Certification for this course is a prerequisite for MBSR Teacher Training Intensive Programme.

Mindfulness Made Simple

Discover what mindfulness is and how it can support your well-being. 

Drawing from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), an evidence-based programme, this introductory and informative talk offers insights into how mindfulness can reduce stress, improve sleep, and bring calm to your daily life even in the toughest moments.

Introduction to Mindfulness & Chinese Metaphysics

Slow Down & Reconnect

This introductory workshop is an invitation to slow down and reconnect with presence and clarity. Designed for those seeking greater self-understanding and calm amidst the pace of daily life, the session offers a gentle introduction to mindfulness and Chinese metaphysics as complementary paths of insight and alignment. 

 

Cultivating Inner Calm with Mindfulness

Participants will be introduced to what mindfulness is and how simple, accessible mindfulness practices can support everyday well-being.

 

Benefits of mindfulness:

  • Stress management - ease symptoms of anxiety and low spirits through gentle presence

  • Improved focus - anchoring the mind in the 'now'

  • Better sleep - quiet the mind for a more restful night

 

Finding Clarity through Chinese Metaphysics

The workshop also introduces the Foundations of BaZi (Four Pillars of Destiny), a classical Chinese Metaphysical system that offers a basic understanding of how the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water) and the principles of Yin and Yang, mirror patterns found in nature and life cycles.

 

BaZi allows you to see the energetic blueprint of your life. Make choices with your natural tendencies and current life cycles instead of going against the grain.

This unique 3-part journey blends the ancient wisdom of Chinese Metaphysics (BaZi, Feng Shui & Yi Jing) with the grounding practice of mindfulness, to help you gain clarity in key areas of your life — self, relationships, career — and move forward with greater calm and intention.

 

Part 1: You in Relationships -

Begin with a personalised BaZi reading that explores your personality, strengths, emotional nuances, and relational habits.

Part 2: You in Career & Wealth - 

This session explores your BaZi chart through the lens of career, work style, and wealth potential.

Part 3: Foundations of BaZi -

BaZi (å…«å­—, "Eight Characters") is a form of Chinese Metaphysics, that shows a map of your innate energy, revealing how the Five Elements and Yin-Yang forces shape your personality, relationships, and life path.

Learn:

  • The Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water), what each element represents & the relationships between them

  • The nature of Yin and Yang

  • What does each pillar of your birth represent

  • How these forces shape personality, relationships & decision-making

  • How to use basic information in your BaZi charts for better decision-making e.g. suitable time to travel, pick up new skills, network & meet new people, look for help.

 

No prior knowledge required. Whether you're navigating change, seeking direction, or simply curious, this series will meet you where you are — with clarity, calm, and compassion.

A Mindful Rest for Caregivers

This session is designed to support caregivers in cultivating self-awareness and emotional resilience through mindfulness. Drawing from Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), an evidence-based programme, this session includes guided meditations and gentle movement practice to provide respite for caregivers, and learn practical tips to manage stress and prevent burnout.

Gin Thye Cake Maker

Join us for a DuringMyTime.SG heritage engagement session at Gin Thye Cake Maker, a traditional bakery run by second-generation owner, Mr Lawrence Lim and his mother. This session invites us to slow down and experience the heart of our Singapore heritage craft.

You will hear personal stories behind the business, learn to capture nostalgic visuals through photography, take part in a simple game quest, experience how to make dragon beard candy, and end the day with a limited-edition duringmytime.sg collectible coin to mark your journey.​
